First and foremost, to anyone who has taken time out of their day to read, comment, share or interact with my blog, thank you very much. I truly appreciate it. I started the blog for one simple reason, to have fun. So far, I have accomplished that goal. I hope all of you have enjoyed it as much as I have.
A huge thank you to my wife as well who has no problems with me taking 6-8 hours per week to work on making this the best blog I possibly can.
I may not be making money from this. I may not be getting thousands of views. But, I am enjoying it. Because of past experience in the journalism world, I had lost my passion to write. Luckily, I have found it again.
As much as I love writing, the real apple of my eye was always in radio. For two years, I hosted a sports talk radio show at the legendary KNSU of Nicholls State University. Good god, did I love that!
That is why I am stoked to announce that coming in August is Off The Record, a podcast that will be synonymous with the Hotard Huddle.
I came up with the name Off The Record because the podcast will be an unfiltered and uncensored sports talk show. It will be brash. It will be edgy. Most importantly, it will be fun.
Off The Record is going to be a show that says what everyone is thinking without the sugar coating like you see on your local media outlets and even ESPN. (Looking at you ESPN “New Orleans” and WWL…el oh el)
There will be sensitive topics occasionally, so be prepared. There will be foul language sometimes. We will dump all over your favorite teams and players when it is warranted. If it is not your cup of tea, to each his own.
My co-host will be my good buddy Richard Fischer, who contributes occasionally to the blog. Just a few weeks ago, we planned a format of the show. However, don’t think for a second that I am giving that away. You just have to wait and see. Hope you all enjoy it! Again, thanks for all the support.
