In honor of National Best Friends Day (June 8), I have decided to compile a top 25 list of the best bromances ever.
A bromance is a close, but nonsexual relationship between two men. Some of the major signs you are in a bromantic relationship may include nicknames for each other. One of my personal favorites is “hey, you fucking dildo.” You make jokes around other people and they give you that half smile as if they understand it, but not really because only you and the BROmantic partner know what is happening. God forbid, you two start drinking together, that’s when shit gets heavy and there is nothing in the world that can stop you two.
I have been blessed enough to have several great bromances in my life. That list is long and distinguished so I won’t go through the entire list, but special shout out to Kurt, Jeremy, Richard, Andrew, Ricky, Danny, Matt and of course Bob, my dad. If I missed you, you know what we have is special. Don’t feel bad.
To the heterosexual males who feel uncomfortable with bromances, get a grip you douche canoe.

25- Damon Salvatore and Alaric Saltzman
Where you can experience this bromance: The Vampire Diaries
Favorite BROmantic Moment: After being killed by Damon, Mason Lockwood comes back as a ghost demanding an apology from Damon while he is having drinks with Alaric. Alaric then sarcastically responds “good luck with that” knowing damn good and well his buddy is a dick. True friend right there.
Why they made the list: One is a vampire hunter and the other is a vampire and this further proves my theory that bromances are the most powerful force on Earth.
24- Billy Hoyle and Sidney Deane
Where you can experience this bromance: White Men Can’t Jump
Favorite BROmantic Moment: Sidney gets pissed at Billy for the amount of shit he is talking before their match up with Flight and Willie. All good bromances have bumps in the road in the heat of competition.
Why they made the list: These two cannot be beat on the court. Greatest basketball duo ever.
23- Tim Duncan and Gregg Popovich
Where you can experience this bromance: NBA 1997-2016
Favorite BROmantic Moment: Gregg Popovich speech when Tim Duncan retired
Why they made the list: They won five NBA Titles together, duh!
22- Bill Belichick and Tom Brady
Where you can experience this bromance: NFL 2001-Present
Favorite BROmantic Moment: Any time Belichick smiles because it is usually in the presence of Tom Freaking Brady

Favorite BROmantic Moment: Anytime these two touched the ice together because it meant bodies were about to go flying and jaws were about to be broken

Favorite BROmantic Moment: When they just became best friends (if you don’t understand the reference, you’re dead to me)
Why they made the list: They formed the best company of all time with Prestige Worldwide and crushed their performance at the fucking Catalina Wine Mixer.

Favorite BROmantic Moment: (Spoiler alert) The end of Good Will Hunting when (again, spoiler alert) Will went to “see about a girl”
Why they made the list: Good Will Hunting is a great depiction of their bromance because the are exactly like that in real life. These two fix each others ties for god sake, talk about looking out for a friend

Favorite BROmantic Moment: Every single time these two start shitting on each other on The Voice to get the singer
Why they made the list: All bromances should have some great jabs at each other and these two are fanatic at it. No love ever lost of course.
15- Mowgli and Baloo

Favorite BROmantic Moment: The Bare Necessities bruh.
Why they made the list: I mean this bear literally floated down a river while Mowgli rode that man’s chest.
14- Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens
Where you can experience this bromance: WWE (April 2016 – February 2017)
Favorite BROmantic Moment: Every time Jericho put someone on the list for insulting his best friend Kevin Owens.
Why they made the list: I know this bromance didn’t last forever, but the 10 months it did was the greatest ever. Longevity knocks them down pretty far, but their break up made grown men cry. That is a powerful bromance.
13- Mike and Sully

Favorite BROmantic Moment: When they took down that punk bitch Randall
Why they made the list: When people heard them talking about accidentally taking Boo from the bedroom and other monsters heard, Mike breaks out into song and dance and Sully follows along. That is truly having someone’s back. Respect.
12- Vin Diesel and Paul Walker
Where you can experience this bromance: Fast and the Furious Franchise
Favorite BROmantic Moment: It goes without saying that when Vin Diesel drives off at the end of Fast 6 with Brian saying that he will always be his brother makes cutting onions look easy. In the Fate of the Furious, they honored him again (spoiler) by naming Vin’s son in the movie after him.
Why they made the list: This is another great bromance that extends past the movies. The two of them were awesome together in real life.
11- Ted Mosby and Barney Stinson

Favorite BROmantic Moment: You ever heard of the game I like to call, haaaaave you met Ted?
Why they made the list: Brocode, bro. Brocode.
10- Barack Obama and Joe Biden
Where you can experience this bromance: 2008 – 2016
Favorite BROmantic Moment: When Biden was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom
Why they made the list: When you have a bromance that has provided the world with the best memes ever and you happen to live in the White House, you have a place on this list. (If you are offended, grow up.)

Favorite BROmantic Moment: Never Had a Friend Like Me
Why they made the list: I mean, Aladdin was able to get under his skin from the beginning by saying he didn’t “need” him. These two were destined to have a legendary run together.
8- Cory Matthews and Shawn Hunter
Where you can experience this bromance: Boy Meets World
Favorite BROmantic Moment: The episode where Shawn joins a cult and Turner crashes his bike. He went to run out the room to the douchebag who ran the cult and Cory just grabbed him and hugged him. Fight for your friends man.
Why they made the list: Lifelong friends from an early age and stayed friends through thick and thin. Easy choice here.
7- Triple H and Shawn Michaels

Favorite BROmantic Moment: The DX Report
Why they made the list: DX is a huuuuge reason why WWE won the Monday Night Wars and put WCW out of business. Triple H and Shawn Michaels are the catalyst for that. Just like every friendship, it has its ups and downs, but you laugh your ass off when these two get together.

Why they made the list: The fact that these two get as bubbly as they do when they are together is all that needs to be said. Every man should strive to have this.
