A study by the Woodrow Wilson Fellowship Foundation polled Americans on whether or not they could pass a citizenship test. The results were released in February of this year.
The results found that 4 in 10 Americans can pass the exam. Seeing as I am from Louisiana, my state did the worst at a 27% pass rate.
Vermont bolstered the highest average at 53%.
Considering we live in a political climate that is so hostile in the comment sections online, it is pretty ironic that for people who scream so much about the constitution, rights and whether the right or left is better can’t even pass a citizenship test.
I took the test myself and scored an 80% with 16/20.
