March 24, 2005 we all were in for a treat even though some of us may not have known it. We were introduced to the amazing people of Dunder Mifflin Paper Company, INC. The hit tv show The Office premiered 15 years ago today.
I didn’t start getting into The Office until roughly two years ago. I had tried before and didn’t stick around. Within the last two years and watching it through multiple times, it has climbed the ladder as one of my favorite shows, if not my favorite. Next to Friends and Boy Meets World, I can watch it over and over and never get bored with the episodes nor tire from laughing at the absurd jokes.
Why not take a trip down Dundie Lane and remember one moment from some of the characters? Keep in mind, this is not a ranking nor will everyone be featured.
The Office has far and away the most characters that are hard to even think about replacing. They nailed it (pun intended) with all of their main characters, but filler characters like Phyllis, Stanley and Kevin just make it that much better.
As a bonus, I will give some of my favorite feel good moments in the show.
I am going to mention Jim Carrey’s small cameo in the show because well, he wanted the job. He really did. It’s just that all of his family was in the Finger Lakes.
Do I even need to explain this one?
Bless his heart. The best moments he had in the show were when Michael was busy shitting all over his existence. The funniest was him proclaiming if he had a gun with two bullets and was in a room with Toby, Bin Laden and Hitler, he would shoot Toby twice.
He is one of the unsung gems for me on the show. He is a total scumbag and completely off the beaten path, but absolutely hilarious. Don’t you forget, he’s the FUCKING LIZARD KING.
So many people I know hate him. I freaking love him. His entitled, SJW, wannabe, pansy ass made for some hilarious plot lines throughout the show. BJ Novak is the man.
Oh Meredith. What a whore. What a trash bag. What a boozey. You wouldn’t touch her with a 10-foot pole.
Creed fucking Bratton is an American Hero and a National Treasure. Protect his well being at all costs.
Angela annoys the shit out me. But every office has that prissy little bitch. She is 1000% that. She went from crazy cat lady to obsessed with being “The Senator’s wife.”
What a sweet wonderful lady! Just don’t fuck with her when it comes to her sales and party planning committee.
Gossip queen to the max. Nothing but drama and if you’re a guy…RUN! Looking at you Ryan.
Mr. Fact Check himself.
I loved Andy the first time I watch it through. Now I find him mildly annoying. Nonetheless, he has some funny moments.
It’s not Ashton KOOTCHER! It’s Kevin Malone. Equally smart. Equally handsome. If you don’t love Kevin Malone, you’re an embarrassment.
Love me some Stanley as much as he loves him some Pretzel Day.
She is the queen of Dunder Mifflin. Yes, flawed. But she always did her best in trying to keep it all together.
Darryl is the man. I would have used the video I used for Finger Lakes. My favorite quote from him is in there.
The prank master. His incessant need to screw with Dwight is one of the best parts of the show. Obviously, the love story between he and Pam is as well.
The Assistant TO the Regional Manager is one of the most popular characters and for good reason. He is over the top and hilarious. His bromances with Jim (frenemy) and Michael are nothing short of legendary.
Michael Scott is perhaps the iconic TV show character ever. He has no boundaries in what he says, which makes him seem like a piece of shit. But overall, he is a fantastic guy who wants to do the right thing. If any of Scott’s Tots are reading this, don’t hold it against him.
