NFL 2021 Week 10 Not So Monday Morning Thoughts

The Opening – The greatest stat in NFL history. With the Panthers win over the Cardinals Sunday, cat teams v bird teams are now tied at 209-209-10 throughout the course of NFL history.

Hotard Huddle Podcast – The Big 50 coming up for the Hotard Huddle Podcast this week, maybe we will do something different. Maybe we won’t. It’s my fucking show and I do what I want.

As per usual, start this off with the Weekly Picks.

  • Ravens -8.5 (Loss)
  • Chiefs -2.5 (Win)
  • Bucs -10 (Loss)
  • Rams -3.5 (Loss)
  • Titans -3 (Win)

Season Record: 20-29-1…I quit.

Cam is BAAAACK

After it was announced Cam Newton was returning to the Panthers, I had the same feeling when Ingram was traded back to the Saints. Excitement. For the better part of the 2010s Cam was Superman. He was one of the most exciting players in the league. As he has gotten older, injuries and the body catches up when you are absolute mammoth of a human and play exactly like it.

The irony is that he is now going to be his replacement’s replacement’s replacement. Now we’re coming full circle.

In his first game back with the Panthers, he ended up tossing a TD and getting one on the ground in a rout of the red hot Cardinals. While I don’t know if Cam can get a full bounce back from Carolina, it would be absolutely dope if he took them back to the playoffs.

Odell Beckham Jr.

Lololololololololol I could not laugh hard enough when his first target as a Ram gets picked off. Meanwhile, he was nowhere to be found. Some athletes get unfair criticism. He just isn’t one of them. This is literally his last chance to be considered worth the price of admission. So far…not good. Sucks to suck Odell.

Mac Jones

Mac Jones gets his first 3 TD game of his career in yet another blowout win for the Patriots as they have won 5 of their last 6. They are rolling and Mac Jones is certainly coming in to his own. Now while the hype train is rolling for the rookie QB and rightfully, let’s just tone it down to some degree. He is playing a very conservative style. That is perfectly fine, but some people are acted like he is the crowned jewel of the rookie class. Tone it down. Give the man his credit where it is due because he is certainly having a great start to his career, just pump the brakes a bit.

Mark Ingram

With Alvin Kamara out this past Sunday, have a day Mark Ingram. Even though it was a loss, he certainly shined with 47 rushing yards making him the leading rusher in Saints history. He added 61 receiving yards. His solo touchdowns was the run putting him as number one in franchise history. I can’t say it enough how great it is to see him back.
